The new evolution of (Un)common Threads on the isle of Capri

DESIGNEAST presents the second edition of (Un)common Threads at Nomad, Capri, featuring eight artists from Africa, Middle East, the Levant, India and Europe, each of whom is dedicated to working with natural source materials, artisans and traditional weaving methods.

In contrast to the first show that debuted just four months ago, this edition exposes work that is intimate and uniquely nuanced; using raw fibres, dyes derived from the earth and evocative textures inspired by Capri's own natural environment.

What is revealed to the collector are hidden details about the maker's identity, their cultural history and the threads that bind us all together.
